Note: As a passive (not active) subwoofer, the GS50 requires an amplifier and does not accept a single LFE (Low Frequency Effect) line as an input. With a built-in passive crossover, the GS50 is designed to accept standard full-range stereo inputs and will automatically separate the different bands of audio frequency. GS50 is compatible with both standard amplifier or subwoofer amplifier. Using a dedicated subwoofer amplifier will enhance the audio performance but drop the satellite output capability. While it is possible to connect DVC speakers (ie. GS4 and TFS12) to GS50, we strongly recommend using standard 8Ω speakers (ie. GS3, GS5, TFS5, TFS6, etc.) as satellite speakers.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERSAsk a Question
I bought two GS50s. For one of them, I will not have any satellite speakers. Is it ok to just cap those wires off?
Yes. you can just use it as a single subwoofer without satellite speakers, please make sure the tail cable does not touch each other .
Just bought one GS50 to run along with 2 pairs of BOSE 251 speakers in my backyard. Any amplifier/receiver recommendation to power the mentioned set of speakers?...question 2: if choosing a dedicated amplifier for the subwoofer which one would you recommend?...
Because our subwoofer has built in crossover board, you don't need subwoofer amplifier, you should get regular amplifier, if you don't hookup the satellite speakers, you can by pass it , use our AMP210 for it.
If you need use satellite for it, AMP150 or AMP200 will be our choices. Or you can use bluetooth5 amplifier only IWB501 or TRB502
If you have another wireless amplifers as input, you can choose AMP44 to push it.l

Love your speakers. Recently Got 2nd pair of GS3 added a GS50. Quickly hooked up to a Denon AVR 2105. Seems like I had little volume....had to really crank it up. Any suggestions what I may have done wrong. Thought I followed the wiring diagram correct? Thank you!
Denon is in house home theater amp,you just use the front , don't hook up to center or surrounding. Also please remember blue(+) and yellow(-)should be one group to one channel, red(+)and black(-) another channel. If you have more questions, pls send me email:firstname.lastname@example.org with your wiring
I'm thinking of getting a GS50 and two pairs of GS5s, to be used as satellites (wired in series, I suppose). This would be powered by a Bose SA-5 amplifier (to integrate with my existing soundtouch system). Does this make sense?
you can do it, two channels to GS50, from the tails of GS50 , you can add one or two pair GS5.
